A suggested 3-day itinerary for Cardiff :

Day 1:

  • Arrive in Cardiff and check into hotel
  • Enjoy breakfast at a local cafe or  hotel
  • Take a walking tour of Cardiff Castle, which includes the castle grounds and the opulent interiors, such as the Arab Room, the Banqueting Hall, and the Clock Tower
  • Visit the National Museum Cardiff, which houses a vast collection of art, natural history, and archaeology
  • Have lunch at one of the local eateries
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the waterfront area of Cardiff Bay, which includes the Welsh Millennium Centre, the Cardiff Bay Barrage, and the Techniquest science discovery centre
  • Return to  hotel for the night

Day 2:

  • Have breakfast at hotel or a local cafe
  • Head to St. Fagans National Museum of History, which is a large open-air museum showcasing Welsh history, culture, and architecture
  • Have lunch at one of the cafes in St. Fagans
  • In the afternoon, visit the Principality Stadium, home of the Welsh national rugby team, and take a behind-the-scenes tour
  • Have dinner at one of the local restaurants
  • Return to  hotel for the night

Day 3:

  • Have breakfast at  hotel or a local cafe
  • Take a trip to the nearby Cardiff Bay Wetlands Reserve, which is a nature reserve with a variety of wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and dragonflies
  • Have lunch at one of the local cafes or restaurants
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the city center, including the Victorian and Edwardian arcades, the historic shopping district, and the Cardiff Market
  • Return to your hotel to collect your belongings and check out before heading home.
